Cynthia Yee and her boyfriend Hugo Quezada generate experiments in the hopes of building bridges between music and art. For the latest installment of their multimedia project, Ediciones Menta, the Mexico City duo curated a collection of five double-sided posters, which are folded up and housed in an LP cover.
To celebrate the project, Ediciones Menta hosted an event at Contemporary Art Museum in Mexico City that featured a performance by Quezada’s synth avant-garde band Robota. “The most interesting part was that both young rocknroll audiences and arty people — who rarely visit each other's events — mixed perfectly and made the night one of the most crowded openings ever.”
