You know the scene. You're spooning your sweetheart and everything's momentarily comfy and divine in the twilight. That's until your partner's elbow starts bruising your ribcage and your forearm's so unpleasantly numb that you begin to question the merit of the relationship. Cranky lovers, rejoice.
As winner of the Red Dot Design concept award in 2007, Mehdi Mojtabavi's the Love Mattress provides a simple solution to the most awkward of sleeping positions. Designed with several strips of foam at the top and bottom, the mattress allows you to comfortably dip your elbows and shoulders into the silky linen slats. And for those who prefer to sleep on their bellies, there are slats at the end to tuck your toes in too. Though the mattress has yet to hit production, perhaps a few prayers at night might do the trick.
