Britt Julious loves Skins

The second season (or series, as they call it in the U.K.) of teen drama Skins premiered in February and I'm already hooked. The show revolves around a group of eight college students in Bristol. I like to think of it as Degrassi, but even darker. The show's writers and producers are not afraid to touch on issues such as mental illness and drug abuse, and the show gained prominence for its graphic portrayals of promiscuity and drug and alcohol use. If all of this sounds like a downer, well, it is. But when the show goes for the laughs, its charm keeps the viewers hooked.

Be sure to check out Nicholas Hoult of About a Boy-fame all grown up! In the U.S., you can find episodes of Skins on YouTube or the Skins fan forum skinsis.com.
