Grace Dobush Loves Friz Quadrata

There's a certain serifed font that makes me hear "chung chung!" every time I see it. It's Friz Quadrata, perhaps best known for its appearance in "Law & Order" title sequences. After a few semesters of compulsively watching any incarnation of the show USA aired, I became adept at spotting the font and came to love it. It's such a tease, with those crossbars that don't quite touch and those flirty descenders. The jury's still out on whether my eagle eye for Friz is a blessing or a curse. In the meantime, I document all my Friz Quadrata sightings at the Font & Order blog.
