Maya Kroth loves Keep a Breast

Keep a Breast is not your mom's breast cancer charity. Forget walkathons and pledge drives: this San Diego-based nonprofit raises money for the cause by slathering volunteers' boobies in wet plaster, which hardens into a cast and—after you slither out of it—is turned over to an artist who transforms the bust into an awesome work of art. The hot, intelligent young women who run the org have taken their act on the road, hitting almost every continent while casting anyone from the girl next door to Maya Ford of the Donnas.

I love their site, and the concept. What a beautiful way to combine art cancer and awareness! The demo clip is lovely too.

I love this idea too. I have done body casting twice in the past year at a Goddess retreat that I co-facilitate. What a cool way to appreciate yourself and honor the body you have (regardless of size or shape), while raising awareness. I spoke at a breast cancer survivors conference last year and brought 'the girls' along with me, nicely painted and decorated and the women there loved it! It really is pretty easy to do. Bless them for doing this!
