Dominick Mastrangelo loves Andrew Bird at All Points West

The whistling, the violin, the guitar, Andrew Bird can seemingly do it all. Long removed from his days collaborating with the Squirrel Nut Zippers, the Chicago native has hit his stride culminating with last year's stunning Armchair Apocrypha, his seventh studio recording. Songs with no repeating melodies, stops, starts, and instrumentals sounds like a recipe for chaos, but Bird pulls all these things together to form some of the most exciting indie rock of the past five years.
