Alysse Dalessandro loves BookMooch

I have never been a fan of associating with the title "mooch", that is until I discovered BookMooch which allows users to give away books in exchange for ones they want. In addition to being awesomely eco-friendly by making sure books are reused, this service is totally free with the exception of paying for postage to mail off your books.

In this case, the term "mooch" is a bit deceiving because you do have to give a little to get a little. The site works on a point system and they require that users give away at least one book for every three they receive. If you don't want to use your points on getting some more reads, then you can give the points to charities. Welcome to the virtual library community with no annoying librarians giving you the ssh- finger to the lips combo.
