Clare Nicolson brings the beauty inside

Sure, you could lift the shades and take a glimpse out your bedroom window, but sometimes the view inside is much better. The scene is especially better if your room is adorned with the works of Clare Nicolson.
In the spring, her garden is a resting place for flocks of different birds and they inspire the design of her most beautiful crafts. She enjoys taking time out to watch them flutter around the hedges. While thinking about life’s natural gifts, she commented on two birds in particular, “There's a pair of wood pigeons that have been hanging around the garden for years, they're like an old married couple.” Nicolson likes creating with the bird motif in mind because she says they are relatable and recognizable.
Sometimes during her sleepy moments at night she comes up with her best ideas, but she claims laziness as she does not get up to write them down. Thankfully for us, she has a great memory and is currently working on something she came up while dreaming one night - something she hopes to have done for Valentine’s Day. She is very excited about the little decorative wooden birds she hopes to be able to give her friends.
When making special commissions, she takes the extra time to make sure everything is just right - other times she can finish a project in an hour depending on how extensive it is. She loves to pick out her signature vintage lavender birdies for customers on an individual basis, but sometimes the customers like to pick their own fabric and she welcomes their personal creative insight as well.
When it comes to fabric, she goes treasure hunting through eBay, although there are a select few shops she frequents including vintage and thrift shops.
One last thing before this busy bird takes flight, she wants you to know her online shop has recently been launched, “there's an exclusive area called the birdhouse where you can buy lots of one-off products.” In addition, a whole new line of cushions will be launched on the shop this summer.
