Denise Gibson was born and raised in Texas. She hasn’t lived there for more than a decade, but she still has a tendency to say “y’all.” With an MFA in visual communications from the School of the Art Institute in Chicago, she can wax poetic on the cultural significance of The Real World, Salt-N-Pepa, stuffonmycat.com, and the overuseof Futura.
